Harvest Credentials on Fraudulent Facebook Pages

Computer Emergency Response Team of Ukraine (CERT-UA) has released an article reporting that number of fraudulent pages on the Facebook is used to harvest credentials and compromise monetary information.
The fraudulent page called “Unified Compensation Center for the Return of Unpaid Funds” directs to malicious link. Victims are then urges to enter personal identity information and make an additional payment. Which would result in the card details compromised.
Researchers says that this is a monetary compensation campaign to the UAC-0100 threat group.
CERT-UA recommends users the following,- Never enter the details of payment cards on unfamiliar and suspicious websites, and also set up control of the movement of funds (connect SMS notifications, set transaction limits).
- If the payment card data is mistakenly entered on a fraudulent website – IMMEDIATELY block the payment card using the mobile application, the bank’s hotline (the phone number is indicated on the back of the card) or through Internet banking.
